This hotel came recommended and for a cheap work visit it couldn't have been much better. It's in a very handy location for Southampton, train station etc and has a really nice lounge/ reception area. The rooms were cheap- we paid under £70 each for a weeknight stay for double (and sometimes even triple or quad) rooms. The staff were absolutely fantastic- couldn't have been more helpful and useful (Thank you particularly to Lewis who was on reception when we arrived). It was a bit frustrating on the runup as I really struggled to get in touch with the hotel directly via email or phone but once I was there it was great. They were brilliant about letting me put my bike in my room (Which I had made sure was clean!). Room was a good size with good faciliites. Bed was comfortable, nice to have tea making facilities, shower was powerful enough and the products in the bathroom (soap, showergel and shampoo) were all nice. My room was on the 5th floor and there was no road noise at all despite it's unusual location on a roundabout. For the price and location it was generally a very good stay and I wouldn't hesistate to stay again.

We chose this hotel to be near the port for a cruise. Our room was great - spacious with room to open both bags, a bath, a fridge, and a Nespresso coffee machine. We were thrilled. We had an executive room, not sure about other options. There is not a lot immediately around the hotel, and we didn't explore much further. The hotel lobby is extremely busy, but the reception manages well. We decided to stay in the hotel for food and drinks, and we were pleasantly surprised. We sat in the bar area, which is very nice and large. Chicken wings for lunch - very good! But fajitas for dinner were amazing! Overall I was very pleased with this property and would choose it again to stay before a cruise. Be careful though, apparently there are a few Leonardo Hotels and a number of people were sent away (nicely) to find the one they had actually booked.

The second time we've stayed here. And great service. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking is my one negative 🙃- none available at the hotel. Carpark not too far. Had dinner at the restaurant- was good. I ordered Japanese katsu curry which was supposed to come with basmati rice but was served with long grain instead. I didn't mention it as food was still good. I needed an extra pillow and it was brought up in no time at all. Fantastic. Was looking to stay here at the end of April for 1 night again but the price has gone from £70 per night to £182!!!!! What on earth can justify the price hike? High season! Unfortunately, as much as I love this hotel we'll look for an alternative.

Everything, the staff are wonderful, every single one of them. The room we had 406 was the best room we have ever had at a hotel! We will be staying here again in the future. Bed was great, actually best nights sleep I have ever had at any hotel in the UK. Great selection of teas, coffees etc. we were even guest of the day with a couple of small cakes which was a lovely gesture from the hotel staff. Breakfast was wonderful with a fantastic selection of hot and cold food. This is easily the best hotel in the UK by a country mile. Cannot wait to stay here again. Such a lovely and wonderful stay. Next time will definitely be staying for longer, that is for sure!

From check-in to check-out the process was seamless. My husband and I were given a nice room with a lovely street view. Breakfast was included in our booking, and it was delicious and hot. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. What was also nice is that the hotel is situated opposite a lovely park where we sat an enjoyed the beautiful breeze and the autumn colours. The West Quay Mall was also a short walk away via the park. We truly enjoyed our stay at Leonardo Hotel Southampton and will definitely stay here again when we visit Southampton UK again. PS: Drinks were also pretty good at the bar!
